Mardi Gras-
Mardi Gras is a carnival celebration that is in fact celebrated throughout the world. Also known as “Fat Tuesday,” this is a celebration of life and also the event of one last night of eating rich and fatty foods (you know, the good stuff, lol) before entering the Lenten Season of fasting. You’ll also find people decked out in colorful, festive costumes and masks, and of course, the beads. Those colorful beads.
We wanted to try to capture the festive and colorful nature of Mardi Gras in our Mardi Gras colorway. In this colorway, we have the traditional colors of purple, green, and a golden yellow. Those costumes and masks get quite colorful at this carnival, so we also added some red, maroon, pink, and orange to top it off. The yarn base is a 2-ply sock weight yarn, so you can knit up a crazy pair of socks or a skinny scarf, or whatever lightweight item you choose.
If you’re not afraid of color, you’ll have a blast with our Mardi Gras colorway.

-2-ply, Fingering/Sock Weight, 100 grams, 399 yards
-Handwash in cool water with a mild soap. Dry flat.
If using more than 1 skein in a project, it is highly recommended to alternate between skeins every few rows, as there will be variations between skeins due to the hand dyeing process.
**Darker colored, highly saturated yarn, may have some color release when washed. Highly recommend to hand wash again before starting your project. Mixing wash with distilled white vinegar or a small amount of rubbing alcohol will help. Helpful to add color catcher sheets to your wash as well.
